How the project started

In 2006 Stendibiancheria.eu introduced the Laundry Index concept, a weather indicator dedicated to estimating outdoor laundry drying speed.

The idea was born from a daily need: transforming complex weather data into a simple and useful decision tool.

Why the Laundry Index was created

Traditional forecasts say whether it may rain, but they do not clearly explain how fast laundry will dry. The index was created exactly for this purpose.

Project evolution

Over time, the project kept its original identity while updating weather data sources, calculation logic and content accessibility.
